Liberal Media

Yes, I'm going to beat that topic again. And I'll apologize ahead of time - this will probably not be the last time you see it from me. Between now and next Thursday, I have to complete an 8-10 page paper on this topic.

Anyway. Joe sent emailed me the link he was eager to post on his blog, but not so eager to share anything about. I, however, have got 2 cents to put in.

I thought these pictures were great, admittedly. I don't think Obama is that bad of a guy. Did I vote for him? No, but I'm very intrigued by him, honestly. He's like my high school chemistry teacher, Mr. Hollinger. He was too cool to dislike just because he was a democrat.

However, there was something that bothered me about this photo gallery.

Photo 27:
Which was paired with the caption "As a teenager, he took drugs including marijuana and cocaine."

...What?! How come nobody ever made a big deal about this?!

Oh that's right...The media would have had to say something. When it was uncovered that George W. Bush experimented with the same things, the media had a field day and everybody knew about it. But that's just the way it works - make the Republican look like the worst person in the world by exposing things that weren't and aren't uncommon, and ensure that the Democrat looks as close to perfect as possible - when they both did the same things. Unbelievable.

Furthermore, where is the picture of a line of coke? Perhaps a photo of Bob Marley smoking an enormous blunt?

The use of this decent photograph of Obama further shows bias. Let's drop a bomb on him and put it with a good picture of him. Maybe that way, nobody will notice the fact that he did drugs as a teenager growing up!

I guess this situation is one of those that all you can say is "what are you gonna do." Although, I bet you O'Reily woulnd't mind having a conversation with perhaps Obama's former dealer?

Speaking of smoking, did anybody know Obama does? Yep, that's right. Just another thing the media have kept secret in order to not tarnish Obama's image. I'm really glad that his $400,000/year salary will go to cigarettes. Cigarettes that you're paying for with his salary he earns through the patriotic taxes we pay.

On a different note, perhaps it was the cigarret companies that we can credit for the ridiculous amount of campaign money Obama had?!

Anyway. Like I said before, I don't think Obama's all that bad of a guy. He seems like a decent human being. And let's be honest, he's read every Harry Potter book!

Darth Will.i.am

The following video is probably one of the coolest things ever. Damn that it is a product of CNN! (Hence why will.i.am has been dubbed Darth, as opposed to Jedi)

Because of this video, I think I've found my calling. No, I don't want to be a news anchor. I want to be a hollogram, just popping up where and when I please.

"We've got Tori Parmenter...Let's see if we can beam her in here.."

Make me throw my hands in the ay-er

The Flo-Rida/Will.i.am song would definitely be pumping through my speakers if I were driving the new air-powered car, even if the song will be a few years old by the time I get one.

But that's the good news - the CAV (compressed air car) is only a few years away. We could be seeing these cars on the road as soon as 2011. In fact, I'll probably ask for one as my college graduation present. Maybe I'll be able to get a discount on it with my diploma though. The CAV is expected to cost around $20,000 - definitely not bank-breaking - but who doesn't want a deal?!

But the expected arrival date and the name of this car aren't its best assets. Remember that it's run (mostly) on air. By combining a little air with a splash of ethanol, biodiesel, vegetable oil, or gas (it's your choice), the CAV can carry you for 800 miles at interstate speeds. Looks like the road trip we've all dreamed about might actually be possible again!

Not only will Joe and I actually be able to make our road trip from New York to
Indianapolis, Chicago, Wyoming, Washington, California, back to our humble abode, but we'll also be promoting a cleaner environment. The CAV is run on air - meaning it's not polluting the environment.

My only concern: I'll be saving so much money, not having to buy gas. Therefore, my trips to the mall will not be (entirely) to earn money, but rather to spend it. Where will I put all my shopping bags in the CAV?!
